What jobs have you held before, during and/or after you became a writer?Īfter high school, I trained for two years as a shop assistant, then became a flight attendant for Swissair. ![]() I wanted to write something that blended my favorite books and crime authors, both gay and straight, and hopefully created something unique. I dared myself after reading yet another fantastic book that I loved, but had no one like me in it. I don’t think I’ve written characters with obvious quirks yet, but, apparently (according to my cheeky hubby) I have a tendency to explain my reasoning for a decision ad nauseam when a simple ‘yes’ or ’no’ would not only have been sufficient, but preferred. What’s the quirkiest quirk one of your characters has? ![]() Fast-forward four decades and hundreds of books later, and I decided to try my hand at writing my own, with a queer twist. Why do you write the genre that you write?Ĭrime fiction fascinated me early on, and I got my first copies of Agatha Christie books as a teen-detectives, amateur sleuths, cops and robber stories always hooked me way faster than anything else. ![]()
